Javia Calculator early access starts today
My newest application, Javia Calculator,
is available for early-access download; go try it out while it’s hot.
Javia Calculator is (you guess!) a calculator for mobile phones (requires CLDC-1.1).
Well, one more calculator… but one won’t stay in your way when you’re trying to get the result.
It features trigonometric functions, logarithms, user-defined functions and constants, history navigation, implicit save, and an efficient input method.

Hi! I really like your calculator
One thing I don’t understand is how to clear user-defined functions? If I choose “f”, it automatically shows me “f()” and uses my old defined function. How can I define a new function for “f”?

Hi! I’m glad you like it.
The intention was to be able to delete the “()” and then type “:=” to redefine the function. But in this version, the deletion of () doesn’t work right; this is a bug, I’ll fix it in a next release.

First of all I would like to thank you for this wonderful calculator. I use it on my Nokia E61 and it is the best calculator I ever found. The handling of the program is very nice.
Nevertheless, I got 2 wishes how the program could be more intuitively:
- I miss a memory funcionality.
- A better working on the E61
The handling on the E61 is a little bit special as the keyboard contains 4 numbers in 3 rows and not 3 numbers in 4 rows as common.
So I do not find the functions in the Operators’ menu as shown in the program.
On the other side, the E61 offers a complete keyboard - why not use the other buttons?
So, finally, I would suggest to write a special version for the E61.
How do you think about that?

Hi Pjotr,
yes I’d want to fix the problems with E61, on the other hand I don’t have an E61 to test on. But I plan to make the code open source soon, and I hope somebody with an E61 may give me hand.
About the memory functionality, could you be a bit more specific about how it should work?

Just a possibility to keep some numbers in the memory and to paste them whenever you want. 5 numbers would be enough.
No calculation inside the memory (with m+ or m- or the like), just storing and pasting of numbers.

Hi Chedi, the SE bug is hopefully fixed, you can try the new version 0.1.4.
